Fritts Family 2020

They’re back on the blog! I continue to be grateful for the Fritts family and the opportunity to document them through photos as the kids grow up! Here are some highlights from their latest session:
The B Family
Here’s a throwback post that I haven’t had a chance to share yet. 🙂
I am such a big fan of this family. It’s such a joy to have known them for the past nine years and to watch their family grow to five this past year. I loved taking both their newborn photos and some Christmas photos for them back in 2019. Here are some photos from both of those sessions!
Fritts Family Photos
These friends are regulars here on the blog. I can’t believe I’ve been watching their family grow over the past eight years now. We had a fun morning taking these photos for their Christmas card. It’s been so fun to become friends with them thanks so this side gig of mine!
The Neddermans
Repeat clients are so fun, both because it’s so fun to catch up with them and to watch the kids grow over the years. And these boys have grown up quite a bit since our last session!
This fall we braved the hordes of photographers with families on a beautiful fall day at Holcomb Gardens on Butler’s campus and had a fun time exploring. The Neddermans make my job easy!
Charlotte Grace
Hello!
My newest grandniece (yes, you read that right) entered the world in September and I was thrilled to be able to meet her and photograph this adorable family when Charlotte was ten days old. It’s especially fun to photograph a family with their newborn when they happen to be part of my family! 🙂
I hope you enjoy this glimpse of my sweet grandniece and her loving parents!
Now There Are Four!
It was so much fun to return to the Franklin home and photograph them with their newest baby! It’s been a delight to see them grow through the years! Enjoy the latest photos of this beautiful family!
Elise is Here!
A couple years ago, I loved documenting my friends’ newborn daughter, Evelyn. This past December, I was able to photograph this family again, now with their newest daughter. It’s a joy to help my friends capture memories of their families with photos like these. 🙂
A Fall Day on the East Side
Matt and Ashley have been a part of my life for the past eight years. We’ve been in the same community group through church, weekly investing in each other’s lives, and I’m so grateful they’re my friends. I had a fantastic time photographing them with their daughter in their beautiful home this fall!
The Sattlers
I loved getting to see the Sattlers a few months ago and capturing their family in action at Marott Park! They’ve come a long way since I photographed their wedding a few years back and have added a couple adorable kids to their family!
The Nedderman Family
In the spring, I had a great time catching up with my hometown friend Kara and her family. It was wonderful to meet their littlest one (you may recall them from these photos before his arrival). I hope you enjoy these photos from our time together at Flat Fork Creek Park!
The Fritts Six
Hello there! I’ve loved getting back into family photography this fall and had a great time documenting this growing family, some of my most loyal clients! This sweet family welcomed their fourth child recently and I loved capturing his cuteness in these photos!
Baby Brother on the Way
This family has made quite a few appearances on my blog! It’s so fun to capture them as they grow. True confession: Baby boy has already arrived and is pretty much ready to drive at this point due to my delay in posting here. Ok, it’s not quite that extreme… I took these photos last spring before baby boy’s summer arrival (while I was out of town, sadly). 🙂
We had a great time getting these family photos in Indy. I always enjoy reminiscing with Kara about our shared hometown in Pennsylvania and their little one has become my buddy! I look forward to twice the fun next time we’re able to hang out!
The Franklin Family Has Grown!
Hey there, friends!
I’m alive!! I thought it was time for me to take a break from educating the future of America (and traveling all summer) to update this blog and let you know that I’m still around and taking photos. 🙂
Though greatly delayed (I promise I’m more prompt when it comes to photo shoots with clients), here are highlights from my time with the Franklin family this year. They’ve grown a bit since our last session together!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
There are more family photography and travel photos coming soon!!!
A Look Back at 2016
There’s nothing like an icy day trapped at home to give me the time I’ve needed all year to catch up this blog!
With apologies for the slightly haphazard style of all of this, here is my attempt to catch up the blog so I can be more up-to-date on posting recent photo sessions, as well as recent travel (which is soon!).
I hope you enjoy the recap. I hope to be back with more soon.
Merry Christmas to all!

Documenting my nephew’s new glasses and my niece at six months!

It was such a joy capturing the Dowells with their newborn!

The Moores are such a fun and beautiful family. I loved catching up with them during our photo session!

I made a trip to PA this summer and loved catching up with these high school friends and their girls!

This family. How I love the Baenzigers and what a joy it was to capture them as a family of four now!

These are my adorable birthday-sharing nieces, celebrating one and three together!
Thanks for stopping by, friends!
Remember 2015?
Hey there, friends!
Welcome back to my super outdated blog! 🙂 As many of you know, 2015 was a tough year for me as I adjusted to my dad having passed away and continued to work and photograph on the side. This blog took a backseat to other things. This post is my attempt to catch the blog up on the photography that I did that year so this blog can continue to showcase examples of my work. Thanks for your patience as I get my act together. Highlights from my cross-country road trip will be coming up soon!
Here are some of my favorite shots from last fall’s sessions. I hope you enjoy the look back!

A mini session with my great-niece at Thanksgiving. 🙂
Welcome to the World, Liam!
This little guy is one blessed baby! I’m a big fan of his parents and was so excited to go up to Fort Wayne at the beginning of June to meet him. Kendra and I have been great friends for sixteen years and it was a joy to meet this addition to David’s and her family and take some newborn photos of little Liam. I hope you enjoy these highlights from our time together! I bet you can figure out one of his dad’s favorite pastimes through these photos!
I felt right at home spending the day with these friends and really enjoyed the time getting to know my newest baby buddy!
Sneak Peek: Lots to Come!
Hi there! It’s been a busy few months here. I’ve just returned from a cross-country road trip from Indiana to Los Angeles and have lots to share from that adventure! Here are some sneak peeks of sessions and travel posts I will be sharing soon. Stay tuned!

Here is a recreation of a shot I took of three of my brother’s children a few years ago. More photos of my brother and sister-in-law’s family coming soon!

This is the lovely baby who came from the last maternity photo session I posted. Look back for more newborn photos of Liam soon!

I’ve been photographing these kids since this big sister was six months old! Look back soon for newborn photos of this beautiful baby sister!
Baby Lucy
Hello there!
Little Lucy made her debut in January and I really enjoyed documenting her newborn stage and her family of four in these photos from the end of January. It was such a great excuse to get to know the wonderful Smith family. I had trouble narrowing down the photos for this blog post as the girls did such a great job and I ended up with a lot of sweet moments. Hope you enjoy these photos of this lovely family!
The Beringer Family Has Grown!
Hello there! I’m finally getting a bit caught up on photos and wanted to share photos of these great people with you. You may remember this family from my trip to Cambodia a couple years ago. They were home for a few months and I had the pleasure of catching up with them about life in Phnom Penh and really enjoyed meeting their newest son last month! We had a great time borrowing our friend’s parents’ home for a quick photo shoot to document the start of this new stage of life now that they’re a family of four. It was great to see how their oldest son has grown and little Elim did a great job looking cute for these photos. 🙂 Enjoy the pics!
The Smith Family in the Fall
The Smith Family braved a chilly day with me for some family photos in November and I’m so glad they did! You may remember my coworker’s lovely family from their family photos last summer. I love how Tatiana dressed up her little one for these photos and I hope you enjoy them!
Baby N is Here!
As I said before, I’m a bit behind with blogging. However, I figure it’s better late than never when it comes to sharing photos from the newborn and family session I did with this cute little guy! Last fall, I posted maternity photos for this family, Kara and Drew. Kara and I grew up in the same town in PA and now we both live in the Indy area. It’s a fun connection and I love that they asked me to capture their growing family in photos. Their son, Grant, came along in September and I really enjoyed photographing their life together when I visited their home in October. Here are a few of my favorite photos of them together. Enjoy!
A Preview of What I’ve Been Up To…
Hey friends!
I’ve been absent from this blog for a bit and have slightly lightened my photography load for the time being to focus on teaching this fall/winter. Here is a sneak peek of a couple shoots I’ve done over the last couple months and the trip from Honduras that I took over Thanksgiving. I’ll be posting more from these soon!

Here’s one of my favorite views from one of my favorite places! Tegucigalpa in November, as seen from the drive from El Hatillo.
Hope you enjoyed a preview of what I’ll be posting more of soon! Have a great Christmas season!
The Smith Family
Isn’t this little girl adorable? I had a great time taking photos of this lovely family a couple weeks ago. Tatiana is a very gifted, hard-working ESL teacher who works with me at our school on the west side of Indianapolis. I was so honored that she wanted me to help document their family in photos. Seeing little Sofia with her older brother made me think of what it must have been like for my teenage brothers when I was a baby… such a sweet bond they have! Here are some highlights from our time together. Enjoy!
The Franklins
I met the Franklins through a mutual friend (Thanks for the recommendation, Candice!). I really enjoyed seeing these hard-working parents and adorable children in action. We had a lovely setting at the Traders Point Creamery for these photos. Enjoy!
