A Preview of What I’ve Been Up To…

Hey friends!

I’ve been absent from this blog for a bit and have slightly lightened my photography load for the time being to focus on teaching this fall/winter. Here is a sneak peek of a couple shoots I’ve done over the last couple months and the trip from Honduras that I took over Thanksgiving. I’ll be posting more from these soon!

In October, I got to meet the adorable newborn son of a friend from my hometown.

It was so fun to see how this little girl has grown since I took her six month photos in May.

Addison and Nathan

Hello there! I’m so excited to share these photos from such a great family. You may remember past posts I’ve added of Addison and Nathan growing up. It was great to meet up with this family again to capture Addison as a three-year-old and the family together. I hope you enjoy these shots from our time together!

Here Comes Baby N!

So here’s a fun story (at least I think it is.). Kara and I grew up in the same small town and church in Western Pennsylvania and now we both live in the Indianapolis area. When she contacted me about doing maternity photos I was so excited to have that hometown connection while doing my first maternity photo shoot (Thanks for taking a chance on me, Kara and Drew. Hope you like them!). There was an extra fun bonus when Kara’s parents were in town and hung out during the shoot we did at Holliday Park. It was so fun to reminisce about good old PA while hanging out in Indy. 🙂 Can’t wait to hear the news of Baby N arriving this month! Stay tuned for some newborn photos of this little one after his/her arrival! 🙂

Nikki is a Senior!

It seems like just last year I was in high school going to visit my cousin’s newborn baby girl. Hard to believe she is a senior now! I had a great time taking her senior pictures while I was home in Pennsylvania this summer. (You saw a preview of them on one of my previous posts.) It was fun to document the three sports she plays in addition to just how gorgeous she has become. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites here! I’ve included a few different editing styles, which may annoy some detailed people, but I think it’s fun to share a variety, so I hope you enjoy them. 🙂

Levi… and another one on the way!

I photographed Levi and his parents (my friends Chrissy and Kevin) last year in July and had a great time doing another shoot this year while we were all in Pennsylvania at the end of July. Bri & Kelsey

Bri has appeared on this blog twice before, and has proven to be pretty memorable. When I tell people I’ve photographed the girl with the curly hair and blue eyes again, most of my friends remember exactly who I mean. She’s a beauty! And now she has an equally beautiful little sister! It was so great to catch up with my friend (their mom) and the girls when I was “home-home” in Pennsylvania and they were in town for the missions conference for a week in July. The girls had impressive endurance to make it through this photo shoot. I had trouble narrowing down the photos to show you here… I hope you enjoy them!

Sneak Peek: Mark and Katie Get Married!

I don’t normally shoot weddings, but my friends Mark and Katie convinced me to give theirs a shot yesterday and I’m glad I did. How could I resist a wedding in an apple orchard?! For a while yesterday morning, it wasn’t looking like the weather would cooperate, but our prayers were answered and the sky cleared just in time for a beautiful wedding and celebration at Wea Creek Orchard in Lafayette, IN.

South Carolina Family Sessions- Sheldon, SC

I had a great privilege a couple weeks ago when I was visiting my brother’s family in South Carolina. Remember that beautiful plantation I photographed? I got to do some family photos for my brother’s family and some family friends of theirs at that same plantation a few weeks ago. Here are some of my favorites!
