Australia- Part 1

Now is the time of year when I like to remember summertime.  Granted, I spent much of my summer in Australia’s winter, but it wasn’t quite as cold as Indiana in December, so I’m happy to reminisce.  Here is a look back on some beauty I captured during the first part of my trip to Australia in June and July, 2011.  I went with my parents and we were able to get some wonderful quality time with my sister, brother-in-law, and four adorable nephews.  We were also able to travel north from Sydney to visit our McCown cousins (my mom’s first cousin and his family) in Brisbane and Toowoomba.  It was a great summer of making memories.  Here are a few examples of the beauty that Australia holds.  More to come soon…

A Trip Out East

Over fall break I had a great time traveling out east.  I enjoyed time at home in western Pennsylvania, as well as visits in New Jersey and Philadelphia.  It was great to visit family and friends and I loved capturing the beauty of fall in some photos.  When I was in Philadelphia, I was able to visit the Eastern State Penitentiary, a former American prison where separate incarceration was pioneered (and where Al Capone stayed for a while).  We took the last tour before the Halloween haunted tours began, thankfully… it was creepy enough without people jumping out at us.  It was a really intriguing place and had some great light streaming in for photos.  I was so thankful for a two-week fall break!

Mollie and Collin’s Engagement Session

My beautiful niece, Mollie, and her fiance, Collin, made this session very easy on me.  It’s pretty much impossible to get a bad picture of them!  We had a great time getting rained out at Westminster College and then round two the next day out on Collin’s family’s land outside of New Wilmington.  It was the perfect fall evening in the perfect setting!

Honduras- June 2011

There’s so much to be thankful for today!  One thing I’m thankful for is the opportunity I had to go to Honduras last June.  It was great to visit with my friends and Honduran family after three years without having visited.  I can’t believe it’s been over five years since I moved back to the States.  I’m thankful that I still have such great friends there to visit and it still feels like my second home.  🙂  Here are some highlights from that beautiful country.

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch with Lily Kate

I had a great time at the pumpkin patch in Noblesville with my college roommate and her adorable daughter, Lily Kate.  She wasn’t an easy sell on the whole photo shoot thing, but she came around in the end and we had a fun time.  🙂

Newborn Mary Beth, August 2011

I had the great pleasure of photographing my friends’ fourth child when she was about a week old in August.  It was great to get some more practice photographing a newborn and so much fun to hang out with their beautiful family.

The A Children- Summer 2010

It was so fun getting to know my high school friend’s children when I stopped by their grandparents’ home for a photo shoot over the summer.  She and I go way back to seventh grade, so it was fun to catch up and see how her beautiful family is growing!
