A Walk around London at Dusk
Just before the new year, I was able to take a walk around London as the sun set. I enjoyed a different angle for photos of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament than my last visit or my trip in the fall of 2015. This time I took a few (haha) photos as I explored. Hope you enjoy them!

I loved this view when I came out from the tube and saw the evening light on the clock face. When I crossed the bridge, I was struck by this doorway before turning around to check out the view across the river.

The view I’d been hoping for!

There was no way I could wait out all the people gathered there to take photos, so I decided to appreciate their presence in this photo. 🙂

Poor quality photo, but I like seeing the details on this lamppost.

I couldn’t get very close to this, but have appreciated this prayer on the side of Westminster Abbey since I saw it last year.

Checking out where the Prime Minister lives… it seemed pretty secure. 🙂

Christmastime in London at Night
I’ve been pretty pumped about this blog post, not because there’s anything special about these photos (they’re not the best quality, what with me not having a tripod with me, nor time to fix my settings for every shot), but because London is so beautiful at Christmastime!
These photos are from a couple evenings last week when I went to a show with a friend and the following day Mom and I explored Oxford and Regent Streets after we went to a pantomime at the Palladium. I hope you enjoy this trip through part of London at Christmastime. Apologies for any incorrect information I give about the locations of where these photos were taken…
More to come soon. Happy New Year, everyone!

I couldn’t get enough of this view of Big Ben and Westminster Palace

I wondered why there were photographers lined up on the bridge looking this way… then I realized what a great shot it was. 🙂

I loved taking in the beauty and shopping at the Leicester Square Christmas Market next to the cinemas where all the London movie premiers take place.

Trafalgar Square, including the Norway Spruce gifted to England every year as a thank you for their help during World War II.

Covent Garden knows how to be festive.

Mel and I enjoyed warming up in the fancy lobby of the Savoy before we went to the show.

West End is the place to go for shows!

Mel and I saw the show Beautiful, an example of store windows near Regent Street, and a church at the end of Regent Street.

London: The Obligatory Photos

Hello again!
I’m trying to knock out these London posts so I can post more up-to-date photos soon. Most of these photos need little description since they’re the shots everyone gets when in London, so here you go!

This is the church where I attended Bible Study Fellowship during my trip… conveniently located between Buckingham Palace and Big Ben!

A great place to get fish ‘n chips!

On a work day, I was able to visit the building where my sister’s church meets, St. Botolph’s, Aldersgate, to get photos of the beautiful sanctuary…
